About
In 1992, Pastor Paul Chappell with the help of Jon Barr, started the Deaf ministry at Lancaster Baptist Church. The Deaf ministry began with interpreting services for the Deaf.
In October 2002, Pastor Paul Chappell expanded the Deaf ministry by establishing a Deaf Sunday school class, Vital Signs, taught by Dr. Rick Allen. On April 27, 2014, the Deaf ministry established a Deaf worship service. This service is separate from the hearing congregation. Dr. Rick Allen preaches to the Deaf in ASL. During these services, you will learn what the Bible says and means in ASL.
All services are interpreted so the Deaf are able to learn from the Bible. Because God loves us so much, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us. God gave us the Bible so we can learn about Him. God sent Pastor Chappell here to find us, love us, and teach us. Pastor Chappell started the Deaf ministry so the Deaf can be saved and learn the Bible.
Come and join us this Sunday. You will learn biblical principles and that Jesus Christ loves the Deaf!
